The City of Grande Prairie and the Grande Prairie Regional Association of Volunteer Organizations (GP-RAVO) are thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for our collective Annual Volunteer Awards. This is your chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible volunteers who make our region a better place every day.
GP-RAVO Awards:
- The Leaders of Tomorrow Awards: We’re looking to honor the young changemakers who are shaping a brighter future with their passion and dedication. If you know a standout youth aged 13-15 or 16-18 who excels in leadership, volunteerism, advocacy, or perseverance, we want to hear from you. Nominate them for the Leaders of Tomorrow Awards, sponsored by International Paper. Let’s recognize these inspiring individuals for their courage, creativity, and commitment!

- The Volunteer of the Year Award: Do you know someone whose dedication and compassion have made a significant impact in the Grande Prairie community? Nominate them for the Volunteer of the Year Award, sponsored by Servus Credit Union. This prestigious award honors an individual whose volunteer efforts over the past year (November 2023 – October 2024) have made a meaningful difference.
- The Corporate Volunteer of the Year Award: Has a local company demonstrated exceptional commitment to community service? We’re celebrating the Corporate Volunteer of the Year, sponsored by Prairie Mall, which honors a business that has integrated volunteerism into its culture over the past year (November 2023 – October 2024). Self-nominations are welcome!

- The George Repka Outstanding Achievement Award: Nominate an

The deadline for GP-RAVO’s Awards and the City of Grande Prairie Awards is on October 18, 2024.
Volunteer Awards will be presented on International Volunteer Day, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Annual International Volunteer Day Celebration Breakfast.
