Town of Sexsmith FCSS nominates Neil Peacock for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘We are thrilled to recognize Neil for his outstanding dedication and service to our community. Neil helps plan the Chautauqua Day Car Show, Graduation Car Parade, and supports The Sexsmith and Area Food bank on a regular basis to name a few. Neil’s passion and commitment to making our car shows successful have not gone unnoticed. From helping to organize the Chautauqua Day Car Show, to organizing the Graduation Parade for grads to ride in antique vehicles through the community. Neil brings enthusiasm and spirit that make each show special. Entry fees are always donated to the Sexsmith and Area Food Bank. Neil has a gift that he says he received from his mom, to help people in need”. His personal donations to The Sexsmith and Area Foodbank ensure that families in need receive meat, as well as non-perishable donations from his Car Shows. Volunteers like Neil are the heart of the community, and it is because of his community commitment that we are able to achieve so much.

They wrote ‘Gail has been GP & District Branch Librarian for more than 20 years. She manages our genealogical collection of books and periodicals in the Isabel Campbell Room in Grande Prairie Public Library. Due to Gail’s vigilance for used book opportunities, we have an impressive collection of Community History Books from across the province. Gail has also volunteered to help look after our finances by taking on the local shared Treasurer’s position. We appreciate Gail’s dedication and her many talents that help keep the GP & District Branch operating.’
