Grande Prairie Council for Lifelong Learning nominates Sheryl Stewart for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘We would like to recognize our volunteer tutor, Sheryl Stewart. She has been working with two of our English language learners to help them improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. We appreciate Sheryl’s’ teaching expertise as well as the amount of time, energy and dedication she has given to support these learners. We are lucky to have her on our team! Thank you, Sheryl!’

The Town of Beaverlodge FCSS nominates for Faye Dyrkach Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Faye has devoted herself for over two decades to the Beaverlodge Food Bank. She has touched or enriched the lives of others, particularly those who are vulnerable or less able to help themselves. Her commitment and dedication to helping others through the Food Bank is extraordinary. Faye puts in countless hours of service every year and goes over and above for anyone in need. Faye has encouraged and exemplified the virtue of good citizenship. She has truly inspired me to become more involved in the community, reach out to those who are not as privileged as ourselves, and share our talents with those around us in order to make a positive change in our community and our world.’

Victoria Lewis from Valhalla Community School nominates Penny Braseth for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! Victoria wrote ‘Penny always goes above and beyond for our school. She makes sure we are taken care of, steps in and cooks for camp outs, hot lunches, grad night, school extra curricular and more. She continually contributes and gives back by making sure teachers have what they need. Our school would be lost without her and we appreciate all that she does for it! Penny’s efforts not only helps the school but creates lasting memories for kids that goes beyond 4 walls – creating and guiding future community members!’
