Swan City FC nominates Brigitte Benning for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Brigitte is a Director on the Swan City FC Board of Directors, and is half of the Adult League subcommittee, as well. Brigitte volunteers her time every month to meet with the Adult League Team Reps within the Swan City FC Adult League to give those players a space to voice opinions, bring concerns, etc.’

Swan City FC nominates Corrie Funk for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Corrie is Swan City FC’s Power Soccer lead – power soccer is a program for differently abled athletes and is played in wheel chairs. Corrie dedicates her Tuesday evenings to coaching the Power Soccer program and has recently travelled with her athletes to two major events in Edmonton and Red Deer. She hauled specialized equipment for players to both these events, coordinated the registrations and itineraries. Corrie also sit on the Swan City FC Board of Directors in a Director role. Swan City FC is fortunate to have Corrie!’

Swan City FC nominates Chad Moore for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Chad has been volunteering his time with soccer for several seasons; he currently sits on the Swan City FC Board of Directors in a Director position and is part of the fundraising subcommittee and he has successfully secured substantial donations to Swan City FC’s Full Play No Pay recreational soccer program.’

Swan City FC nominates Robert Kirk for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Robert has volunteered his time with the Swan City FC Board of Directors for several years, and with the Grande Prairie Soccer Association prior to that. He has held President, Vice President and Director roles. He also contributes his time to his daughter’s competitive soccer team.’

Swan City FC nominates Ricardo Pillay for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Ricardo volunteers his time to sit on the Swan City FC Board of Directors, in a Director position. While new in this position, he is dedicated to growing soccer in Grande Prairie.’

Swan City FC nominates Matt Tupper for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Matt currently sits on the Swan City FC Board in a Director position. Matt contributes many hours to securing funding for Swan City FC, a not for profit organization. Matt is also a Team Rep for his Men’s League team playing in the Swan City FC league, he coordinates his players, arranges practices and keeps the team running season after season.’

Swan City FC nominates Lynda Atamanchuk for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Lynda has been involved with Swan City FC for many years in various capacities: she sat on the Board of Directors for the Minor Soccer Association, then moved to the Swan City FC Board as a Director, and most recently into the Secretary position on the Swan City FC Board. In addition to her role with the Board, Lynda has been an incredibly dedicated coach in Swan City FC’s minor soccer program, coaching girls in both indoor and outdoor seasons.’

Swan City FC nominates Jesse Noppibul for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Jesse has been sitting on the Swan City FC Board of Directors as the Treasurer for several years. He contributes extra hours of his time collaborating with the SCFC staff and Board preparing budgets for soccer seasons and preparing and presenting financial statements for the SCFC AGM. Jesse is also a player with SCFC; he participates in the Men’s League.’

Swan City FC nominates Amber Pickrell for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Amber has been a member of the Swan City FC Board of Directors for several years; starting out as a Director and most recently moving into the Vice President position. She contributes to decisions regarding the soccer community within GP – she also plays within the Women’s League at Swan City FC.’

Swan City FC nominates Derek Van Tassell for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Derek sits on the Swan City FC Board of Directors as Club President. He continuously dedicates hours of his time to the SCFC club at Board meetings, in addition to volunteering as the team manager for his son’s competitive team.’

Pregnancy Care Centre Grande Prairie nominates Les Bourassa for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Pregnancy Care Centre Grande Prairie sends thanks to _ and all their board members for their on-going sacrifices of resources, time, skills and energy to keep the mission and vision of PCCGP alive.
