Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grande Prairie & Area nominates Caitlyn Scott for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Caitlyn is dedicated to being a positive role model, mentor, and friend to her mentee, she is very passionate about helping and supporting children and youth within our community.’

Annabelle Ouellet nominates Donna Calliou for Volunteers of the Week! Annabelle wrote ‘Donna Calliou completed 500 hours for Habitat for Humanity and she continues to help and support other families and organizations in the community.’

Brandon Wilk nominates Dan Rawlyk for Volunteers of the Week! Brandon wrote ‘Dan is a highly active member of Grande Prairie’s TSAR.  Dan is the rope tech team leader and is pushing hard for us to be a highly trained high angle wilderness technical rope team. Thank you Dan for all you do! It is greatly appreciated!’

Wolverines Wheelchair Sports Association nominates Lori Bourque for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Lori manages our Sledge Hockey Program and is also a board member for our organization. We appreciate Lori and all she does!

Northreach Society nominates Isaac Chalifoux for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Isaac was a practicum student with Northreach and decided to continue spending time with us after his hours were completed! Isaac helps with attending to client needs at the front and helps prepare and stock harm reduction supplies.’

Grande Prairie Norsemen Football nominates Kory Gravengard for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Kory has been an instrumental part to the success and development of the Norsemen Football Bantam Team. Kory not only coaches this team but also coaches the Grande Prairie Composite High School Warriors every day. He brings wisdom, leadership, respect and pride to both volunteer organizations and is a fantastic role model within the community of Grande Prairie.’

Courtney Mury nominates Vikki Potter for Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Vikki and Kelvin Potter do a lot for the Highland Park neighbourhood. For many years, they have helped with the neighbourhood association and the Highland Park Neighbourhood Eye. They are always willing to lend a hand and love their community.’

The Grande Prairie Branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society nominates Gail Schau for Volunteers of the Week. They wrote ‘Gail has been a member of the Branch for the past 23 years and has a keen interest in genealogy. Since joining the Branch, Gail has been a faithful attendee at our meetings and has participated in all activities. Gail can be counted on to candidly share her ideas and opinions.  These opinions have been instrumental in helping to further the goals and ideals of the Branch. For the past 18 years, Gail has been the liaison person with the Peace Library System. In that role, she has been responsible to order books regarding genealogical matters; collate and bring the books into the library system; order and receive magazines dealing with genealogy; place them in the library; sort out subscriptions and deal with donation of books. Thank you Gail.’
