Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week

Pregnancy Care Centre nominates Filomena Janzen for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Fil comes faithfully every week and keeps all our donations labeled and organized. We would be in a mess with out her.’

Northreach Society nominates for Raven Williams Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Raven is an amazing volunteer. Raven volunteers weekly with my 2SLGBTQ+ youth group and is a great role model to our youth. They regularly show up on time, bond with youth, and help with the flow of youth group. All the youth LOVE Raven and are always so excited to see them and what colour of nails they have that week. Raven is always engaging with the new youth and ensuring they feel comfortable and that they have a place in the group. Sometimes it can be a little awkward coming into a group of people you don’t know, and Raven always elevates that stress for the youth! They have been a great help for myself and the youth and we very much so are grateful for all that they do!

Pregnancy Care Centre nominates Kristin Plett for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Kristin is fun to have around the office. She volunteers every week and is dedicated to her clients and meeting them where they are at.’

Pregnancy Care Centre nominates Adyne Bell for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Adyne volunteers her time every week to support women in the community who need some one to support them! She is kind and compassionate and is always cheering her clients on or listening to them when they are struggling.’

Camp Heal-A-Heart nominates Heather Watson for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘For the last two years, Heather has taken time off of work to volunteer for our grief camp. Heather is warm, caring and works well with the children and youth that come to camp. Heather has made such a difference to the lives of the children at camp. Heather truly is such a great volunteer and we appreciate her dedication to the program.’

Pregnancy Care Centre nominates Tanya Swanberg for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Tanya cares deeply for her clients. She puts hours of effort and thought into preparing for them and accommodates their needs to appointment times. Tanya helps women journey through grief to a place of hope and healing.’

Dale Bond & the County of GP nominates Amber Rickey for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Amber has played an instrumental role in ensuring that the Clairmont Community School has a girls Junior High basketball team this year. She has taken the time to learn the game, create drills and learning opportunities for the girls and ensures that they are well fed and cared for during games. Amber dedicates two evenings a week for practice or games and many hours of planning and making meals. Not only does she support the girl’s team in the above-mentioned ways, she also supports the boy’s teams with meals. Amber’s willingness to learn the game, dedicate her time and talents selflessly, and create a safe space where every child belongs is second to none.’

Northreach Society nominates Mackenzie Beck for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Mackenzie has been volunteering at Northreach’s 2SLGBTQ+ Youth Group for a few years. Their commitment to supporting this program is strong and very much appreciated!’

Grande Prairie Friendship Centre nominates Daniel Smith for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Danny has been volunteering multiple days per week, and sometimes more than once a day since he started volunteering with us in the Community Kitchen. Danny is very positive, and the staff love seeing him come in because they know he’ll take as much of the load as he’s able. Danny has been the ideal volunteer and continues to make a difference in the lives of our staff and clients, and we’re so excited to get to nominate him for Volunteers of the Week!’

Wolverines Wheelchair Sports Association nominates Lori Boulet for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Lori’s continued dedication to our sledge hockey team has created growth, new opportunities and experiences for our players. Lori is always there for our players, board members and staff. Lori is not only our team manager and board member but a friend. Thank you Lori!!!!’

Grande Spirit Foundation nominates Tammy Yaremko for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Tammy has been an important volunteer to Grande Spirit in our Spirit River area. As a volunteer to Grande Spirit Foundation, Tammy has connected our organization to various funders and contacts that are further supporting our seniors in this community. Her efforts include being the contact to an upcoming April 20th fundraiser for our new spirit river lodge in spirit river and volunteering her time to be a big part of the senior community. We couldn’t do this without you Tammy!’
