Northreach Society nominates for Raven Williams Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Raven is an amazing volunteer. Raven volunteers weekly with my 2SLGBTQ+ youth group and is a great role model to our youth. They regularly show up on time, bond with youth, and help with the flow of youth group. All the youth LOVE Raven and are always so excited to see them and what colour of nails they have that week. Raven is always engaging with the new youth and ensuring they feel comfortable and that they have a place in the group. Sometimes it can be a little awkward coming into a group of people you don’t know, and Raven always elevates that stress for the youth! They have been a great help for myself and the youth and we very much so are grateful for all that they do!

Dale Bond & the County of GP nominates Amber Rickey for Tim Hortons Volunteers of the Week! They wrote ‘Amber has played an instrumental role in ensuring that the Clairmont Community School has a girls Junior High basketball team this year. She has taken the time to learn the game, create drills and learning opportunities for the girls and ensures that they are well fed and cared for during games. Amber dedicates two evenings a week for practice or games and many hours of planning and making meals. Not only does she support the girl’s team in the above-mentioned ways, she also supports the boy’s teams with meals. Amber’s willingness to learn the game, dedicate her time and talents selflessly, and create a safe space where every child belongs is second to none.’
